Keep Fit Association Plymouth
The South Western Ambulance Charity and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust’s (SWASFT) would like to thank the Keep Fit Association (Plymouth) for their support and generous donation of over £2,500.
The Keep Fit Association (Plymouth) chose the South Western Ambulance Charity as their charity of the year and have carried out a number of fundraising activities to support the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust's Cycle Response Units (CRUs). The money raised will be used to purchase equipment for CRU teams across the South West.
Matt Care, Operations Officer for SWASFT based in Dorset, attended the cheque presentation at the Keep Fit Association’s Annual General Meeting on the 20th October:
“This significant donation for the Trust’s CRU is fantastic news and very well timed. The Weymouth CRU’s current bike and equipment is now over 5 years old, and the front and rear bespoke panniers need replacing. This donation will allow us to do so, and any surplus will be used towards a new bike as well as CRU-specific clothing and safety equipment for our staff. Thank you once again to the Keep Fit Association (Plymouth) for their very kind donation, which will help to secure the continuation of the CRU as an additional resource for future years.”
