Community Response Vehicle Appeal
In mid 2024 we launched a major fundraising appeal to raise £210,000 to put 7 new dedicated Community Response Vehicles (CRV) on the road for our volunteer Community First Responders to support patients across the South West.
The appeal set out to provide each of the seven South Western Ambulance Service operational areas with a new dedicated car that is fully converted, sign-written and equipped for volunteer Community First Responders to use to support local patients in need.
In February 2026 we announced we reached the £200,000 point, with 3 cars in action (Gloucestershire, Cornwall & N+E Devon), 3 cars on order (for Bristol/Somerset, Bath/Swindon/Wiltshire and S+W Devon) and the final £10,000 to raise to secure the last car for Dorset.
