Cornwall and Devon kick off charity football season
On Sunday 6 October, on a beautiful sunny day at Saltash, Cornwall, the first charity football match was held to raise funds for the South Western Ambulance Charity: Cornwall v South/West Devon.
When the whistle blew at the end of an action-packed and passionate match, with both teams battling hard in warm conditions, Cornwall won 2-1.
Special thanks goes out to:
-
Keila Klein (Paramedic - Derriford) who took over 700 photos!;
-
Jodie Stevenson (Student Paramedic from Plymouth University) who made delicious cupcakes, with money raised from sales going to the charity;
-
The Devon Football Association for providing a referee and lineman for the game;
and lastly and importantly a big thank you to everyone who gave up their time, donated raffle prizes and raised an amazing £367 for the South Western Ambulance Charity!
